BTA at top of quarantine

Soo my bta decided to move to the top of the 20g quarantine tank near the return for the sponge filter, but hes up so high removing 5 gallons for a water change will leave it out of the water, will it be alright or should i try to get him off the glass?

Yes, you could try to gently move it.
