Bta twisting tentacles off

Hey so my large bta is twisting its tentacles around and I've picked a loose one out of the tank yesterday. I've read 1 line from 2011 that says this is a sign of starvation... it's gigantic and colorful and growing even bigger... it is true that I ha ent fed this thing in 2 months because I don't want it to grow anymore if I can't help it... I did feed it a huge chunk of shrimp today after reading that though. I just want to get a more up to date diagnosis.

I did move this anemone rock across the tank a week ago and adjusted it slightly yesterday as it was still making contact with a couple corals in this corner.

Sounds like by moving it into higher flow it has caused this potentially. Should resolve with less flow.

(no personal experience myself, just repeating what I read in that linked thread ^)

Appreciate that link! Definitely helps get me an idea... the flow looks perfect and similar to its previous location but maybe the turbulence of the flow banging off the corner is occasionally too much and/or too sporadic?

Also will it "balance" itself out after it loses a few or should I take some action?

Also how lethal is a free floating arm if it ends up snagged on a coral? I assume it still stings until it loses color?

Could this be "budding"? Could these turn into other anemones if they land in the right spots?
