Bubble in my hammer coral

Some people think that this is an indication that the coral might be splitting, but myself along with many others have had a Euphyllia double in size and never experienced anything like this. I honestly don't think it's anything to worry about, but definitely keep your eye on it. GL.

Ya just been curious because it's been like this for a few months now and the past hammers I've had never had this.

Have the same thing with mine and it's been that way for as long as I can remember. Mine is a branching hammer and I think it is one of the oldest heads. So maybe old age? Anyway on mine the heads don't split, new ones just branch out from the older ones so in my case I know it isn't about to split. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I never gave it much thought, but I am now [emoji6]
Maybe it is a little damage and the flesh pulled from the underlying skeleton. Just a theory.
