I have a huge wall bubble (7-8" long by ~3" wide) that does the same after lights out. Scary sight for any wayward straying prey.

That's a great picture!

Never seen a bubble do that. Then again, I don't own one.

I had one that was the size of a basketball. Six inch sweepers all day long. I feed it whole pieces of krill. When I forgot once for a week it ate a clown fish.
