I'm trying to decide on the best doser to purchase for my Elos MIDI 36G system. I'm just starting to add in some SPS, and I'd really like a nice high-quality doser to help me optimize and stabilize my water parameters, especially the KH.

The Bubble Magus pump is $300 at BRS for 3 channels of dosing, whilst the LiterMeter 3 main unit plus two additional pump modules (to provide a total of 3 dosing channels) would run about $670. That's quite a substantial price difference.

My question is whether or not anyone has significant experience with either or both of these systems, and if the LM3 is really tht much better to warrant paying an extra $370?

Have been using the Bubble Magus for a while with success. Solid, reliable and easy to use.

Well, the Bubble Magus is looking more and more appealing. For the same price as a 3-channel LM3 I could buy a 7-channel BM system. Then I could automatically dose Ca, Alk, Mg, Sr, ReefBiofuel and two other things I have yet to come up with. I could always experiment with dosing something random and unconventional, like peanut butter and Count Chocula...

I have also been dosing count chocula with success ;)

Seriously, the BM works like a charm. If I had anything negative to report, I would. Very good price too.

Anybody else with any experience using either of those dosers? Or Count Chocula, for that matter...
