Anyone using this skimmer? Are there better options for a 250gallon system? (total system volume) The bubble master looks like overkill but I don't want to spend money on a skimmer again for awhile.

a friend of mine has the new one with 2 pumps
he was upset when a pump died on him the magnet came loose and tore the inside of one of the pumps and has to wait a few months to get a new one (he was going to get an extra until he found out how much it would cost him) (i cant remember but i want to say 260.00)

Its short and fat, Its a little over 20 inches tall, 9.25 inch diameter tube.
It will blow away any skimmer its size. Its very decieving on size! The collection cup is more volume than a asm g1. LOL
Chad the pumps would be warranty, and with all new products it will take a little time to get replacement parts available, But i havent heard mos to get a pump in.
Greg from reefgeek told me he only had to replace one pump because of a broken impellor shaft. Price for replacement's or extra's are 149.00 or 159.00

The second pic there is 24 hrs of skimmate. (1 litre! The collection cup olds over 3 litres and thats with the 6 inch neck in there.) The third pic was about 20 minutes after cleaning.
The pumps inject 2 parts air per 1 part of water. My orp went up from 320 to 400+ just adding this skimmer, And i added 3 fish 2 more tangs and a trigger.

I got the skimmer yesterday. The cut on this thing is HUGE! The only problem is that the gen4 has a really cool gate valve setup and it was broken. They're sending out another body this week. I can't wait to set this thing up.
I ordered the bm200 last week. It's supposed to be here in 6 weeks. I'm kinda nervous about the skimmer. I read that some people were having problems with it. I think everyone that has the 250 is happy it's the 200 that has been having problems.
