So I got 3 BTA 1 month ago for the first week I pit in the tank and they found spots and stayed there the next week they kept moving and till this day keep moving. I have an aquatop 40 gallon and XR 15 pro set to 20% intensity because after first week they went to sand bed and under neath rocks so turned intensity down. I have an Mp10 as well. My hammer hasn’t grown at all in 8 months so I’m thinking of doing iodine dip today with my water change.

Nitrates: 5 ppm
Nitrites: 0 ppm
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Alkalinity: 9.8-10.6
Phosphate: .24 (I know a little high was using AB+)
Magnesium: 1420
Calcium: 420
Salinity: 35 ppt
Ph: 8

Sounds like really low light. As for the constant movement the first thing I would think is flow.

Lighting schedule and flow. mp 10 is on front of tank halfway in middle
