I have read alot about this. Is it good water chemistry or stress or water changes or over feeding. I don't know what it is. My thoughts on it is that it happy and splits but then I have a nice big green one I have had for almost 2 years and never splits but my red one splits about ever 6moths or so. I am sure there have been many of conversation on this topic.

Thanks for ur time

In my limited experience it can be a combination of things. Stress is the first that I've seen - temp swings, PH swings have caused mine to split. Secondly overfeeding. I feed mine littleneck clams and/or shrimp and if I get too generous I usually find a newly split nem. I started with 1, now have 7.

Thanks I was wondering about that. I have a real nice color rose bubble tip I paid 200$ for and I hope that one would split. But it looks the worst out all my BTA. Idk why he will had under rocks been in tank maybe 6moths and continues to still move round.

^This. Stress and excessive feeding have caused mine to split. First shrimp I fed, split.
