I have no idea, have never seen this.
#reefsquad, any idea?
Water parameters all in range

wow, never actually seen that one. usually just the tissue recession :(

The good news I have experience with this as its happened to my hammer. The bad news is I have no idea why. I really didn't worry about it because it was two heads and there is another 50 or 60 doing perfectly well. Will be interesting to get a response for a possible cause.

If the polyps just keep disappearing, maybe something is eating it. Unfortunately, LPS are like candy to many reef inhabitants. I had all my LPS disappear in less than a week. Still not sure what ate them. Hard to catch;em in the act.

Hahaha!
I thought you had a good answer until the good news was that yours did it too lol.
It's weird, all still intact and looks fine other than looks like it's migrating.
Maybe it thinks it's an anemone...
