Hi all, wanted to start my build thread, now it’s all sorted and going well.
So far I have

Stock lighting.
Eheim compact 1000 return pump.
Cp1 fluval powerhead, looking to change it so any recommendations are welcome.
Intank media basket in chamber 1 with poly filter pad, floss and purigen.
Chamber 2 is Red Sea reef carbon
Fluval heater

Live stock:-

2 clownfish- already paired
1 cleaner sheimp
4 red leg hermits
1 cerith snail
2 nassarius snails- excuse spelling
Lots and lots of plankton, grown with in my tank itself. Incredible!

Corals:-

1 quite large leather finger coral,
Few frags on the way

Never use "Eheim compact 1000", it will heat up your tank. Try MJ900 instead.
Stock lighting - horrible. Aqua Knight A029 works way better.
Cp1 fluval powerhead - Sicce Voyager Nano or Koralia Evolution Nano works great.
I have UTS (Upperflow Turf Scrubber) in chamber 2, work great. Carbon and purigen with floss and UV 9W in chamber 1.

+1 on the eheim heating up your tank. That was my first replacement pump. When I had the evo, I obtained the best results from a $9 aquaneat pump off Amazon.

Can’t say I’ve had any trouble with it heating the water if I am honest, the only issue with it, is that it’s getting louder and louder. Anyway I bought a sicce yesterday so I’ll try that when it comes. As I don’t want it loud

I had the Eheim compact 1000, I thought it was a good little pump. I put a silicon pad at the bottom of chamber 3 and it stopped all the noise.
