New corals this morning! More than I thought I'd get.
New bio pellet manufacturer! I didn't see the same brand on Amazon that I had previously purchased and started with.
Ordered 2 pds of Kolar labs bio pellets
Ordered new bulbs! Went mostly giessman.
This yr I went
2 giessman super actinic
2 giessman super purple
1 giessman tropic
1 ATI coral+
2 ATI aquablue specials

If I'm gonna use em might as well stock up. Lol. I always buy pellets in 2 packs.
Usually last me 1 yr. Idk how long 2 pds will last. Lol!

Think the last packs were 16oz. Maybe 24. I'd have to go pack about 15 pages and look. Lol

New corals include several lps and one sps for trials lol.
Think one is a chalice and is a rampage? .lol.
One of the popular corals currently.

16oz bags. Same amount just different brand. Hopefully the change in brands won't matter. Lol. They are all a polymer bio degradable plastic. Your goal is to just tumble it or let the rub to create the aerobic and anaerobic areas for the bacteria to grow on the surfaces. E.g. surface area.

My skimmer was humming so I tightened the union on the intake of the recirculating pump. Hum gone. Yay. Lol. Was getting annoying.
Next I wanna swap the return pumps out and put that downpipe in the main drain.

Sorry I'm in love with my frogfish lately. He's out and about. Hasn't been hiding at all. Lol. Hangs out in the Kenya tree on the left. Lol. He's awsome.
I wanna let a lot of the new coral.settle before I go showing it. It's nice but I wanna make sure it's gonna live. Lol.

New bulbs got picked up today at mom's!
Got new pellets too. Instead of a plastic rod being choped into little logs it's actual round spheres. They are a little large in diameter for my liking but they should tumble really nice.
Can't wait to get home from work and play with my fish tank. Swap the bulbs and soak some pellets in rodi.
Just so they won't float too much when I throw em in the reactor.
Think next I'll work on that silencing stuff I was talking about. New return sump pump and downpipe submerged.
Also might work on the other led bar i was talking about a long time ago and trying that. Either cool or warm white leds. We will see when the time comes.
torn between either moonlighting or shimmer effect. The quanitity if leds will make or break this.

New pellet.media. New bulbs. Tank looms a nice crisp white like a 12k.
I like. Lol. Looks very similar to my old light configuration so that's good. Lol.

I was only running six bulbs as 2 had burned out so that's why it looks brighter. Gonna wait till upgrade to test out the 2 waveboxes and them working or not working together. I did receive the Y cable for it with moonlight addition today

Can I just say that this round vs. Last time I started I used all live rock last time and this time I used mostly dry. Wow what a Crapola mess this round.
I would way rather have just picked the bad crabs out and called it a day vs the mess I've had.

Did I mention I have an sps...don't smite me! Lol

All my pencil urchins are accounted for. All 3. So Houdan! Lol.

I have aptasia and red flatworms.
When I upgrade I will add a copperband and ill have killed the flatworms with tropic marine phosphate eater.

My war coral is not happy and I need to move it. Lol. Finally found a spot thay my corky finger is happy in so that's good.
My eyes are on chalice corals, acans, and Millipora
Tuesday goldenbaskets corals is coming!
Aquasd is gonna get an order from me too.
More goldenbaskets later after a trip I'm taking in may.
Lost a mandarin zoa frag. Not happy. Just totally MIA. Payed $65 for 2 polyps of nothing now. Furious. Lol.
