I am using Randy’s recipe #2 and using a Neptune DOS. If I don’t clean this off it will eventually lead to a clog. Even happens with the tip underwater. Is it the surface tension of the RO tubing? The sharp end cut of the tube? Wrong tube material?

Never seen it that high on the tube before, others should chime in. To me it looks like its splashed or creeping up the tube. I use sodium bicarbonate mix, i get minor build up and since i use soft tubing a squeeze or too breaks off any build up.

I would not recommend having it under water as there will always be a dosing solution/tank water interface where precipitation of calcium carbonate takes place.

Best solution I have heard of is to combine ATO water and dosing water through a single drip tip. I do that for AFR and it works perfectly. Every ATO action flushes out the tip.
