I have a 210 gallon container that I make my saltwater in and it has heavy build up of "stuff" on the walls. I use fritz and am happy with the salt but should I be concerned with all of the build up?

How bad is the build up? How long have you been using it? Have you tried to clean it off?

If it's brown most likely clay. Saltmixes contain some clay.

It's pretty bad and yes its brownish. I have been using about 2 years. I can scrape it off buts its a PIA so didn't want to waste time if no issue.

I suspect it’s not a huge issue, but probably worth some maintenance and scraping a bit once or twice a year.

On my 70 gallon mixing container I would get a lot of brown build up from Reef Crystals.
I would have to wipe it down with vinegar a couple times a year to clean it.
If you can maybe add several gallons of vinegar and freshwater and let it circulate for 24 and then flush?

ok so I filled it with RO and then added 2 gallons of muriatic acid and have it circulating.
