Yes, that's right, I am building a log cabin.....kind of....

My house has a 3 car garage option, with this option comes a large 17'x12' bonus room off the master bedroom (columned entry way) with a peaked ceiling in the bonus area. My plan is to get curved pine log cabin siding (interior/exterior) and line the walls with it. Then build an entryway into this area that resembles a log cabin with a modified barn door look along with the same siding on the outside. The ceiling with have several beams put from side to side and the ceiling will have wood tongue in groove boards. The floor will most likely be an engineered flooring (real veneer) with a wide wood plank look. Either that or considering tile using tile that looks like wood. This will be my gf's art studio that she has really been wanting lately. Kind of like a birthday present for her.

Any comments? Anyone ever heard of this done and can make some suggestions?
