I have a Outer Orbit 150w MH + 4 T5s. This light will go over a 45 gallon - 24 x 18 x 24 in tall. In this tank I want to have SPS at the top and have LPS and zoas around the bottom half.

For the light:
On one side I will have 2 T5 bulbs. On the other side i am going to run 9-12 3w cree royal blue LEDs.
The metal halide bulb is 150 watt and i only want to run it 1-2 hour(s) a day.

A 150 watt 6500k bulb is most intense and will grow corals fastest...
but will a 10000k be almost as good and improve the coloration of the corals?

The bluer you go, the more colors will stand out. I like the 10k look, but have fallen in love with the Phoenix 14k when I had halides. Try the Reeflux 12k, its a nice look with just a hint of blue for coloration.

I was thinking of going with something cheaper with the halide. Like a plusrite.
