Bulk Soda Ash Discontinued?

Bulk Reef Supply was built on bulk products. Now are you going away from this to a single gallon packaging model? This seems extremely wasteful adding that much more plastic to the environment, while also raising cost for your customers considerably.

I am referring to the 7lb bag that I’ve been buying for years. I do see that 35lb option is still available for now, will that be going away as well when stock is depleted?

Sodium Bicarbonate is still available in 7lb bags. I assume it is a stock issue for Soda Ash and not discontinued.

There are a variety of factors that go into the decisions for when a product gets discontinued. Based on the information we have, the decision to go down to single gallon packs with ease of use and being able to offer bundles of multiples has been made at this time. We will continue to watch feedback and data to make changes if a mid-size pack is something we need to bring back

I am also disappointed with the changes of going away from the 7 pound bulk bags since the formulation change; the individual containers take up a lot more space then the single 7 pound bag and now we are paying more and getting less. Now it costs $40 for 5 gallons of Soda ash compared to $40 for 7 gallons of soda ash. And $35 for 5 gallons of calcium chloride compared to $40 for 7 gallons of calcium chloride. Not to mention you guys are just paying more for packaging with the single use packs. Shrinkflation at work.

IMO BRS is slowly going down hill. More products arnt being stocked. They are forgetting who their customers are.

Those 7lb bags were the backbone of my supplement purchases. Sucked to see them go.
