Would you share the results of your water test?
I had sent in an icp test couple days ago. For the ro portion of test I sent in sample from after membrane before di. Awaiting results. Will be ordering full well water workup from you after holidays.

Just wondering if there are any usually culprits for the cation resin in well water like co2 on anion side.

As far as anion still exhausting relatively fast, Considering my sediment filters looked full of clay, I am leaning towards silicates or something. Obviously only way to tell is with testing but fun to guess in meantime.

Any thoughts?

I agree that it is possible that your municipal water could be coming from a well. a town close to me of a population over 5,00 is doing just that. My water comes from Lake Erie. I wonder if you are getting good resin, and also how you store it. You have to keep it moist. Also the filter quality. I use a TDI meter that cost less than $10. My resin color is just now showing wear if you will after about 12 to 15 by 35 gallons of water. TDI is 1. My filters which there is three are made by or at least have the Watts name on the package. They have been around for decades. My RO system is made by them and is zero waste. After about 3 months the primary filter will be black. My DI filter is way smaller than yours. The key is I store the unused resin in a fabricated 3 inch by 4 feet long piece of ABS pipe with a screw on seal cap. The resin is made by Aquatic Life and is a 5L package. Both the filters and the resin can be bought on Amazon. Hope this helps
