I have to say that my communication with(or lack of response from) ReefBreeders has been poor. Dead QR links to detailed instructions for the light in the package instructions. Dead links to registration in the instructions. The timer settings are reversed on the controller. So 8 hr lasts for 12, 10 for 10 and 12 for 8. I contacted support, which from what I can tell is only Logan. He didn't know how the controller worked and got one to test. He said he would call me the next day about it. Instead I received a text telling me to test it myself. I did and found that the timer settings are reversed. I contacted Logan again about the function of the controller, and about not being able to register or find the instructions from the links on the package instructions. He did not respond about the timer problem of the controller, registration or the detailed instructions (formerly he had said this was a dead link from the previous site but no new address was given).

I really like the light and was very complimentary when I first contacted him. Too bad there isn't the support to back it up.

Hey Jeff, I texted you about the timer earlier this week, did not receive a text back. Sorry I missed your call wednesday.

I have been running a light for you on the 8 hour timer, as I wanted to be hands on and run one myself so I could get details for you. I asked you if you could run your light with the blue LED on the timer and let me know when exactly it turns off, as you unplugged it at the 10 hour mark initially. I see you emailed as well and I responded there this afternoon.

Here's the link to register your warranty: https://shop.reefbreeders.com/products/warranty-registration

Hi Logan,
The call was meant to answer the text and with the message I left I had further questions. Also, you said that the lamp ramps up and down. Mine doesn't do that which I asked about and still don't know. Yes, when the light didn't turn off after 8 hours I tried a few settings and then eventually discovered on my own that the timer settings are reversed. I still haven't received any response to that. I guess its not that big of a deal but when I pay $120 for a light I would like it to work as advertised. It would have been nice if you had offered an exchange or such.

As for the light, the colors are great. It would be nice if it ramped up and down as it is a little bit of a shock to the corals for it just to pop on at a particular time of day. Also, I don't know if this would increase the price substantially but if there was an app that let you set the ramp up/down, adjust the color and timer that would be a nice feature for v3. It is a little weird that v2 loses the moonlight and doesn't ramp up/down like the former version but I still like the light.

Hey Jeff,

My apologies for that info- the Pico V2 does not ramp. The Pico 2023 does ramp and has a moonlight mode as well. We are working on a wifi controller for the Pico V2 and 2023 LEDs- something that can have multiple lights plugged into it, so one controller will power multiple lights.
