So the wife and children have been pressuring me to buy a new fish. I'm pretty content with my tank the way it is. I enjoy watching Coral grow and watching the invertebrates do their thing. But everyone else seems to have lost interest. I've considered a Gobi but I'm not sure I have enough bottom tank space for one. Any suggestions?

Neon gobies are a delight, as are their kissin' cousins, the sharknose and yellowline gobies (which gives you a choice of colors).

Another goby you might look at would be something like the yellownose / hi-fin red-banded goby, which stays small, keeps itself down by the rockwork, and will pair up in a partnership with a Randall's pistol shrimp.

Tank looks great, BTW - those sponges are awesome!

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go with a neon goby. I guess I'm going to order one online. My LFS Has ridiculous high prices. Still not sure which site I want to go with. Has anybody had good experiences with a site they would recommend?

Thanks on the sponges. I'm pretty proud of them. And I'm not sure how they got in there. I had my tank for six months. Then one day I noticed a little pink slime on a rock. I think that one sponge made me fall in love with this hobby.

I agree with the goby/shrimp pairing. The behavior of the two is really captivating. I have a yellow watchman goby/ tiger pistol shrimp pair that I can watch all day.
