Buying a new skimmer

I am looking to buy a new skimmer in the next couple days and cant deside on which one to get...so i thought i would post on here and see what everyone else thinks..... I have a 135 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump.... my stock is 1-sailfin tang,3-yellow tangs,1- copperband butterfly,4 bengia cardnals and 1-firefish..... mostly LPS with a couple SPS....I was thinking about getting a Bubble Magus BM180 or a SWC160..... would these be a good choice?? if not does anyone have a better choice?? i have limited space in my sump for a skimmer but both of those will fit pretty well..... so lets hear your choice in skimmers....I am looking to spend about $400.... thanks

Both of those would be great choices. A few folks on my local club have the bubble magus skimmers and they look sweet!

how are the bubble magus and swc on micro bubbles? i am also in the hunt for a skimmer down the line after my upgrade my lights. would like to hear what people say about these two skimmers. also how about bubble kings?

I just called premiumaquatics, and ordered a MSO200, for my 75, the guys said it will work just fine.

im getting the swc 160.. u can try the swc 180.. that one looks like a beast. atb also came out it a new cone.

I decided on a SWC Cone. Just waiting on the TAX return. :angel:

good choice the SWC cones are really nice, but the 180 cone would be great for your system and its under the 400 range just have to wait on them to come out all the way.

I just got the SWC 160...man I am really impressed with it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

but SWC's always seem to have a bigger foot print....my sump does not have that much room...thats why i wanted to go with the bubble magus bm180

The footprint on the 160 cone is 9x7x20.

The 120 and 160 are both quiet as can be, you can stand next to it and not know its on. The 180 is not as silent but has a slight hum. If you close your stand you can't hear it. The 180 is going to be in stock in May : (
