Any suggestions for a nice, affordable sump? I know I could use anything but i want one made up with a refugium and stuff.

Any ideas where to get them online?

Thanks.

we have a local guy here that does great work and will make pretty much whatever you want. he got banned from rc because they said he was commercial but he does great work. only drawback is you would have it shipped. he also makes skimmers, ca and kalk reactors.

IMO if you don't have someone locally that can build one, your best off getting a tank and making your own with the baffles you need. Any of the sumps I have seen online cost a fortune.

i agree with that.

for the size you are looking for, ordering one online just isn't practicle.

better off doing it yourself out of glass, or having one made "local" out of acrylic.

i like the 55's because they are tall enough to avoid overflows in the event of a power outage

I am going to be using an AGA 38g for my sump. Fits my 75g stand w/ a little room to spare and still has enough capacity to save me from a pump failure overflow.

here is a Google SketchUp model I made to give myself a general layout.
