Buying my first zoa colony

I did post on the zoa article but I think my post got missed, so after reading the article I was reading more about palytoxin and looking at all the zoa colony's my lfs stocks. whilst looking in their zoa tank I noticed some loose zoa polyps had fell off the rocks and sitting on the sand bed. When this happens is it similar to polyp bailout on lps? Or is it normal for a polyp to detach in order to spread? Is it safe to do a h2o2 dip to kill any pests?

It's okay, normally the mat of zoa's has exceeded the size of its base and the edges have nothing to attach on.
You might want to dip with something a little stronger I believe Zoa rocks are known to carry some critters you don't want, but I'm sure others will tell you what they use.

Got My first zoas, not the best photo and the colony I wanted was sold earlier today but there's three types of zoas on here, nothing special just common ones apparently.

Is it normal for not all the polyps opening?
