I’m upgrading from reefer 170, and I’m trying to decide if I should get a Cade peninsula 1200 (47” long) or 1500 (59” long) in the current space ( see the attached photo. 30” x 60”). Both models will fit in the space but I’m not sure about the maintenance of the sump or even the installation because I will only be able to access the sump area from the side panel of the cabinet, given the orientation of the tank placement. I don’t think I can assemble everything and then push it into the area either because it’s probably really heavy. Any suggestions or alternative options would be appreciated!

can you open up the side walls that support the stairs. Reframe it so that it supports the stairs and make access doors so you can get to a side and the back? Thats what I would do.. Or maybe the wall to the right but is that a bedroom or bathroom or if by luck a closet...?

Any update?

There’s no way I’d do that. With either one , you wouldn’t have access to the switch panel, couldn’t change the filter socks, or easily gain access to the back plumbing (should you spring a leak). Not to mention the viewing panels would be blocked by walls.
That’s a good place for a cabinet, or the current aquarium. Not a peninsula
