About 2 weeks ago started dosing for Cal & Mag to get to Red Sea suggestion for Mixed Reef, tested all good using Red Sea supplements. Then last week started dosing daily Red Sea AB+ for Amino Acids.

Last Water Change - Yesterday (25%)

Not sure if it matter but here a livestock list... Plus a couple small Mushrooms.

Bump... Can anyone let me know how to lower my Cal & Mag? Thanks in advance! I know everyone is engrossed in that WWC love sale. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If this is a newish tank, the water will have calcium and magnesium essentially what is in the salt mix.

If the results are high and not test error, then the salinity may be too high.

I'd certainly stop dosing if you believe the results and it is not excessive salinity, but it is not a panic situation. Magnesium cannot possibly rise much in 2 weeks of recommended dosing (if any), and the calcium is not high enough to warrant unusual steps to lower it.

Try your kits on your new salt water.

Thank You! I have been using pre-packaged Pacific Ocean Water from Petco. Tested PH/ Ammonia/ Nitrates & Nitrates all good. 8.0/ 0/0/0 never tested Calc/ Alk / Mag on it will do now. Salinity comes in at 1.025...

I have stopped dosing the calc & Mag... Is Alk a little low?
also should I stop the AB+ Amino Acids a few days?
Thanks again!
