I've had a 40 breeder set up for a couple of weeks, I do a weekly 10 gallon wanter change, my calcium and all levels always seem to read at 485ppm and 10.2 dKh. I was wondering what the consequences of these numbers being high is? if there are any, what are the best solutions?

The numbers you provided isn't bad. It really depends on what type of coral you want to raise, and if you can keep your parameters stable.

Salt is a big driver of what your parameters are. For me, I like to keep my alk around 7-7.5. For this, I use Tropic Marine salt. Other salts like Red Sea pro, aims higher around 11-12dkh and 450+ calcium for "accelerated growth". But at the end of the day, pick a DKH you're comfortable with, and keep it stable

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
