I've used crushed/powdered egg shells for nutrients for my houseplants and garden plants for years. I know that the shells are 94-97% calcium carbonate. My question is Is it safe to use in a reef tank to feed corals? I've read some places that it can be used for feeding corals and others that say it's only for clearing the water.
