Calcium levels

Question for everyone... I have had great success with softies and now trying my hand with a few SPS. I have an acro and a Millie. Both are tiny lil sticks currently. My questions are, do I really need to monitor my CA levels with them being so tiny? They are in a 75 gallon tank. Also, does coralline algae steal CA from the system as I have a ton. Can the levels be maintained by doing water changes or do I need to dose? Thanks all

Yes coralline, takes up quite a bit of calcium alkalinity and even some magnesium. If you don't test you won't know whether you need to dose, but with so few sps corals, you might want to start with a little Kalkwasser in the ATO, then move on to dosing two part

I don't have a sump or ato.... I would need to do it manually

Get a test kit for Alk,Ca and Mag. Test a few days in a row to average your uptake. Then go from there if you need to dose and how much. After you figure your uptake test weekly.
