my Calcium is high at around 550 so I stopped dosing calcium and only dosing Alkalinity via ESV 2 part. Alk Mag and Calcium are staying the same for the last 3 days. How is this possible? I was dosing 53ml/day in a 150g. I expected Calcium to slowly dip.

Hi,

I would ask what is in your tank. Your consumption may be low. That may have also contributed to the high levels. I would just continue to test and hold off dosing

Unless you are keeping it up through water changes or top off additions, the calcium will drop about 18-20 ppm for each 2.8 dKH of alkalinity that gets depleted and replaced.

It may take quite a while to see that drop with a hobby calcium kit.

Hi
I had a similar problem due my kalk dripping, so I stoped the calcium reactor and my Kalk reactors and dosed only baking soda. It took 2 weeks to bring back to 420. Cal was on 600
