I am currently running a calcium reactor however struggling keeping my PH anywhere near 8.0.
Currently running carbon scrubbers with closed loop in protein skimmer.
Alk is dosing: 47ml/day
PH 7.8
Alk: 8.78
Cal: 450
Mag: 1200
Phos: 0.5
Nitrate: 15
QUESTION: I’d like to start adding kalk to increase my PH however, concerned it will spike my alk. How/what’s the best way do I add kalk to increase my ph?

Dosing a concentration of 1 tablespoon per gallon of kalk would be a good starting point. I mix it up and store in a 10 g reservoir. It will not raise alk as quickly as it will raise ph.
