I just purchased a used MTC pro calcium reactor and after unscrewing the all the screw the the lids would not come off. It is almost like it's glued on any suggestions on how to remove.

On one of the chambers I did get it off but it's broken. Not sure if I did it or if it was like this but I need some serious help fixing the one lid and removing the other and avoiding other issue.

Here are some pics of the broken lid

Any help is appreciated.

Ok I am getting a cylinder to replace the cracked one. Still wondering if there is an easy way to loosen up the other lid to avoid the same occurrence.

Since I bought it used I think it has been sitting for sometime closed up and the seal is sticking to the lid. So I am looking for a way to loosen it. I did not over tighten it in the first place but will keep that in mind once I actually get it open.

Wow that's crazy, how old is that reactor?

As already suggested I would use a little silicone O ring lube before installing the next one. Although I will admit I have never had this issue with any reactor I've used.

Thanks since it's a dual chamber I still need to loosen the lid on the other chamber so the same thing doesn't happen
