Hey guys

I was wondering how high are you running your lights from the water surface and at what intensity. I understand that you raise the intensity slowly to acclimate the live stock. I want to hear from folks who have decided to stay at certain intensity and have finalized the height etc :D.

Those of you who have more than one, how far apart do you have them and do you see any spotting?

Thanks in advance!

Sunny

Hey Monroe.

I have mine 12 inches from the water surface and 30 inches from the sand bed. Im slowing raising the intensity but I dont plan on changing the height of the lights. I have 2 over a 36" tank hung long ways with no spotting.

Thanks constantne. Anyone else wants to chime in?

Tagging along for the information - I love the AI units and heard nothing but good things. Hope we get some pictures too!!

Maybe this will help...

Mine are 18" above the water line, and currently max at about 45% full power.

This is great, Thanks. Dod you see spotting when you were lower than 18 inches?

Great thread so far...tagging along. I have 9 sol blues coming in soon to go over my 300 gallon SPS tank.

9 Sol blues for a 300G? What are the dimensions? I have a 96 X 30 X 28 (high) 350G and I only have 6 of them.
