placed a coral order on August 25th and initially the vendor was very responsive and seemed reputable.
On October 10th, after experiencing some issues with zoanthids in my system, I asked the vendor to hold the corals temporarily. Prior to that, he had been cutting the frags, and I assumed we were simply allowing additional healing time — which I was completely fine with.
On October 27th, I informed him that I was ready to proceed with shipping. From that point forward, communication became extremely inconsistent. I was repeatedly told “maybe next week,” followed by long periods of no response or being left on read, often with explanations later that he was “too busy.”
On December 7th, I requested photos of my frags just to confirm they were actually cut and being held. After multiple follow-ups, I finally received three photos on January 14th, showing what appeared to be random zoanthid frags on a rack — with no clear confirmation that they were my specific order.
Since then, I’ve asked multiple times when shipping will occur, and those messages have gone unanswered. I fully understand being busy, but when someone is selling at the volume this vendor claims, basic communication and order fulfillment should not break down like this — especially after spending $1,850.
After speaking with others, it seems I’m not the only person experiencing this issue, which makes it even more concerning given the vendor’s sponsorship presence on Reef2Reef.
I’m genuinely disappointed because I truly wanted these corals. At this point, the frags should be well grown out, yet I still don’t have a ship date or clear confirmation of my order.
Screenshots to follow. The lack of communication is by far the most frustrating part. Based on this experience, I would recommend caution before ordering.
I’d like a full refund or my corals to just be shipped!
