Anyone have experience with 4/3rds + Macro? I was planning to rent an Olympus M5 + Macro lens next week to give it a try. I like the system for reasons besides tank photography, but some of the online macro shots seem nice. The M10 is within the thread budget or find a used M5.

yea I use a Lumix. You'll like it. If you use a non 4/3 lens it increases the magnification. be careful, you'll wind up with pics like this

What's wrong with the Sony?
I'd suggest the sigma 105mm macro to fit your Sony

I don't want my photos to be the make or break deciding factor because like I said, I haven't had it long. I've used it a handful of times, as I am reading though the manual which is huge. Any of the cameras you are considering will be adequate, it's knowing how to use them that's most important! I am confident that I will produce spectacular images with my T6.

When I was really into taking photos 10 years ago I had a Canon Rebel xti that took awesome photos. Mostly because I learned everything I could about it.

After seeing the incredible photos above, quite frankly I'm too embarrassed to post mine, hah. [emoji6]

Am I allowed to link my build thread from another forum? It has some photos.

I would suggest watching a YouTube series on photography for beginners. If you don't know how to use a DSLR and know camera basics, your photos won't be great regardless of the cost of your equipment.

I started with a Sony Alpha Nex 5n years ago and took decent photos.

These were taken with a Pentax K-r and the kit lense. I've been eyeballing a new body for a better sensor but you can get decent images with just about any dSLR if you have decent glass. I need to heed my own advice but the struggle is real! I'm very close to snatching up a Nikon D3400 right now because of the sensor.

Those Pentax are highly underrated.
Great shots.
