Can anybody identify what this critter is?

It was early morning when I spotted this critter... lights were just coming on. The long thin part was moving back and forth and the main body that it's attached to buried itself a bit in the sand. Thoughts? Friend or foe in my tank?

No, the critter is long gone somewhere in my tank. I've a couple of conches in my tank who in the past I think I caught them fornicating...lol Is it possible it's a newborn conche? Don't know, just speculating for you or anyone else who cares to chime in. I appreciate your curiosity to this.

Not really a threat but can get out of control if not culled every now and again.
