check out using peroxide to clean algae on base of corals like that.. ive had success removing in such way..

Is peroxide safe for all corals ?
Yes, make sure it’s 3% hydration peroxide and mix 1/3 t2/3 to tank water. Place the plug and coral in for about 8 minutes, rinse and return to the tank.
