Hello,
I recently went to a Exotic Fish and Coral store. I noticed this small blue fish and wanted to know what it is called so I could do some research on it prior to putting into my nano tank. The kid working there was clueless so I’m taking it here.
Can anyone help figure it out. I attached a video.

It's a blue damselfish, Pomacentrus coelestis. They can be quite aggressive, especially in a small aquarium.

Its a blue damsel fish, Chrysiptera cyanea, but need a view from the side to see better. Could also be a springers, Chrysiptera springeri.
Looks like a regular cyanea damsel to me. has the black dot on the back dorsal fin.
I have both a cyanea and springeri. Looks like a cyanea to me. Springeri are darker blue with more black.

On second view of the video, now I don't see the black dot on the dorsal.... I swear I thought I saw a black dot on it's dorsal fin the first time I watched it. but now I don't see it, but I'm still pretty sure its a cyanea. but could be springeri too.

Paul, click on that picture and it becomes a video by magic!
Not for everyone. I have to right click and click download. I think YouTube is the only reliable way to let everyone see a video.

Hi thanks for the input. I have a question regarding your picture. What is the name of the coral on the top side of the picture? I really like it!
Ha ha. .
I agree They are very pretty but this started off as one single frag .
They can be invasive if not kept under control

pulsing Xenia , waving hands and I’m sure they have a few other names .

if you were local I would gladly donate a few for you to try
