Can clams get stung?

I’ve got 2 beautiful maxima clams burrowed in my rock work so moving them would be tough.

I’ve got a torch that had been growing like a weed and is sweepers are starting to get close to the clams, will this be an issue?

Yes, clam mantles get stung. See it a lot with large aptasia on the shell, the mantle will retract in those spots.

Thanks for the info! Love this torch but may need to move it or Frag it down to a smaller size

Yes, move the torch and immediately kill any aptasia if they appear near a clam or on the shell.

How about mushrooms touching the clam?

Shrooms aren't nearly as bad.
