Hello reefers,

anyone here can point me in the right direction wether or not I can cut the horizontal part right above the overflow section on my acrylic tank? It prevents me from actually being able to stick my hands in there so I want to cut it out

Who’s the manufacturer of this tank? In your pic it looks to me like the teeth of the weir are incorporated into the strip you’re wanting to remove. If so I would advise not doing so.

I would leave it together for stuctural reasons.
I have a 660G eurobraced with 1+" thickness and 8" before opening. I would recommend using what I do . . . . . Aquarium grabbers and tongs

Can't remove it, but if you can move it or a new brace down an inch or 2 that would work.

I think that I would cut out that strip. If you are still concerned, you could glue a another strip along that back edge to add some extra strength.
