Hi!! I had a terrible case of Dinos and thought it was going to take out my tank. Fortunately, NoPox came to the rescue!! I have been using it for about 6 weeks and my tank looks better than it has ever looked. Do I now wean the tank off the NoPox or continue to use it?

NOPOX isn’t generally viewed as a way to treat for dinos, but if that was the reason for using it and dinos are gone, then it is fine to reduce or stop it.

Are you monitoring nitrate or phosphate?

I used 10ml per day Nopox on my 65g for NO3 management two years ago. I got NO3 from 50 ppm to 5 ppm and that’s where it has stayed for 3 years. When I started to slowly (1 ml week) reduce, NO3 started to rise.
I still dose 5ml per day which keeps both NO3 and PO4 stable.

So I tested today, for the first time in quite a while, both nitrates and phosphates were at 0. Historically, I have never been able to get phosphates to 0. Not sure if this is good or bad?

Quite frankly, im shocked as nopox can be fuel for dino causing it to go out of control.
Glad you beat it.
Add .5 ml of peroxide at night and pull off nopox.
