My elegance detached itself from the base. I think it did this because it was stung by some floating euphyllia polyps from the coral above. Not sure if it will survive, but how can I reattach it to the its base...can I use superglue? I am concerned the glue will impact the soft tissue. There is no hard tissue to add glue to. Ideas?

I tried setting it onto the base hoping it would get hooked on the base teeth, but it got caught up in the water flow and floated off. I tried doing it in a low flow area with no luck.

I know it's a long shot but I want to see if this coral can pull through. It still "looks" alive.

Do you have pictures? Are you saying the skeleton detached from base or the corals flesh detached from skeleton?

I can’t see how you could. I think you have to hope it will grow a new skeleton. It’s a shame, they are beautiful corals.

I have a few loose polyps of candy canes in my rfa tank that bailed out when I crashed my nutrients. They look good, but they are still just sitting in rubble. It’s been a few weeks. I don’t know what will happen, but I know it will take time.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

My elegance did the same a long while back...i used a cut off soda bottle with slits and placed over so he wouldnt get blown around. Was told once that someone had thiers regrow skeleton so im hoping hell survive.

Can you plz show me how you did the soda bottle? Mine just detached from its skeleton and is now in the cave next to it. I would like to try to save it.
