Just got me a purple Stylophora frag and I’d like to see so bigger ones.

It has a much tighter growth pattern than most of my other stony corals. I wasn’t expecting that. And it seems to like symmetry. A lot of the branches are parallel. Definitely cool oooking.

I have a 3" frag that's growing like a weed. Wasn't long ago they commanded high prices, but purple stylos are now all over the place, and given their rapid growth and hardy nature some reef stores are close to giving them away like german blue digis.

I'd like to see some pics of the much rarer teal and rose stylo.

My area still want at least $15 to $25 for about the same frag as op. I got mine a bit smaller and it grows pretty fast. It really gives you that sense of feeling that you’re successful on keeping sps but then when you tried other a bit more difficult one and they died lol.

Good stuff! I am glad I got one. I’ve just veered in to sps recently. You can google pics all day but it really doesn’t give you perspective like these kinds of replies.

trimming frags and putting them next to it will spread it faster. Make sure you up the flow it gets accordingly as it grows.

hmm it’s funny. last night my wife told me to do whole tank dedicated to stylo and staghorn!
totally underrated coral!!

Me too, the purple is the only variant I ever see. Green sometimes but I would love to see a pink or red stylo. There has to be some other colors out there somewhere I would think.
