Can i use tetra ultra activated carbon on my hob?

So i have been having an algae bloom and my tank is cloudy with a slight green tinge, i have my hob with filter floss and chemi pure blue which i have been using since early january. Is it safe to run the carbon or keep using what it have? Thanks.

Carbon won't do anything for algae blooms. I would add copepods and/or get something like a green killing machine as a temporary uv to clear it up.
