I'm looking to upgrade from my 25 gallon to a 60 gallon. I started my tank with Tampa Bay live rock & sand. There is SO much life in the sand in my current tank that I can't imagine just letting it all die. Dozens of serpent stars, brittle stars & tons of other life. Is there any way to move this tremendous wealth of life & biodiversity to the new tank?
I was thinking that I could transfer all of the rock & corals to a separate vessel & then move the sand to the new tank, fill it with water and wait till the parameters are good, then move the rock & corals to the new tank. Any input is greatly appreciated!
