Can mix magnesium and iodine?

Been a while since I asked a “can I mix these?” Question.

This morning I broke a couple glass vials I use to pre measure the fortnightly dose of iodine (Red Sea Trace colors A iodine +) and magnesium general purpose mix of chloride and sulfate. My daughter doses them when I am gone. I am leaving for a trip and either need to get some more vials or I was wondering if I could mix them together. The Red Sea supplement is Iodine, Bromine and Flourine.

magnesium fluoride is low solubility, but there likely isn’t much fluoride present. If you see a precipitate, that would be it.

Ok. I’ll give it a try. Will they dissolve when added to the tank?

I mixed them and no precipitation. Thanks @Randy Holmes-Farley. Saved me from having to get more vials and now there is half as much for my daughter remember to dose.
