Most likely yes. A hitchhiker. It doesn’t make babies, it’s an algae. It will continue to grow if conditions are appropriate and if you leave it alone

Yes it just started growing on my rock. I was gone for a week and had someone caring for my tank and it grew. It’s soft. Do I need to remove it or could I let it grow there?

Is it a bad type of algae or could I keep it in there? I would remove it but it looks pretty.

Is it leafy or thicker like a sponge? Looks like a red macro algae to me (Gracilaria Curtissae?). Which would be safe.
