I was looking the sea cucumber up online and it very well may be one. My tank is 4 years old and I haven't added anything like that to my tank. It must have gotten in there somehow.

It's about an inch or so long. It's really attached firmly. I'm afraid of killing it if I try much harder to pull it off..

I've never added a cowrie snail but you may be right.. it is squeezable like a snail would feel.. if it is indeed that, will it eventually show it's shell ? It's been over an hour now and it still looks the same. It's also moving around in its current state..

Wow, as soon as I went back to part the mantle it now has a complete shell showing !! You were right Reefer Reboot ! It is indeed a cowrie snail. I apologize saltyfilmfolks for not seeing a shell at the time, when you asked. I apparently was a little impatient. Thanks to everyone here who helped me..I have a great appreciation for you guys and this forum !

Very cool!

Our money snail is about 7 years old. We only see it every few months.

Did you buy it or score it as a hitchhiker?

Neat find either way!
Congrats!
