Can trident go under your stand?

the big thing with my new build, is my wife wants everything under my stand. Im seriosly considering a APEX EL, and a Trident. Can i rig up a acrylic shelf, say over my middle sump chambers or above my dosing containers and contain it? what kind of room above water does it really need?

Show me if youve done this!

Reviewing Trident install manual, I don't see anything about positioning... close to tank is about all it says.

I don't see why you couldn't put it on a shelf over your sump. Mine is right next to the sump, but above water level. Never given me any trouble. I'm using a 1 gallon jug to hold waste water. It's about half full when I run out of Alkalinity test reagent.

I thought i read somewhere above water level, which made me think, about a shelf. i plan fans to blow air and humidity out of the back of the stand anyways so Hmmmm. maybe its time to really plan for the future. We will see.

It can be placed anywhere, as long as the 5 foot sample line can reach your tank or sump. I have mine inside the cabinet of my Reefer XL 425.

I recommend in your stand and not under it. J/k. Mine is i a side cabinet. You will need to open the front to put in the reagents. It's not super smooth so you will need some room. I would prefer to keep it separate from the water areas

Thanks a! If be putting it above my dosing co trainer area or to the right of it depending on top. That way I could slide it out.

I had mine under my aquarium inside the stand and no issues and it’s been there since day one.
