I keep my tanks temp at 80-81 degrees. Is there any clams that would do well at this temperature? I have read most keep temps at 76-78 degrees for clams.

My chiller doesn't even come on until 82*. Lights shut off at 82.5. I use the apex to do this and saves power rather than having the chiller run frequently (1/3 hp) and 3 - 400 watt radiums.

Everything thrives. Clam does fine.

I keep my tank at 79 without issue. Why do you keep yours at 80-81? Just lower your temp a bit ;)

I run 400w MH, without a chiller. The highest temp my tank reaches is 81 degrees. So, I set the heater controller at 79 degrees.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
