So, I will be setting up the big tank, and have IO Reef Crystals and a bag of NeoMarine. Any reason I couldn't mix the two initially? I need to make 150 gallons.

Afterwards, it would just be ReefCrystals.

Mixing is fine. Some folks do that all the time to get a certain alk or other values.

I've done it a few times when I'm run out of one and only have the other, I've mixed tropic marin and instant ocean. I run two salts as I have a FOWLR and Reef I figure fish dont need all those fancy extras,,,, if there really is any :P

I’ve been mixing the last of my tropic Marin with reef crystals for some time, because the mixture gets me closer to my target alkalinity.
