Hello,
Cool looking mushrooms!
Just wondering if anyone can help with an id?
I bought this from my lfs today it was listed as a deadpool mushroom. Can anyone confirm this is correct as it seemed quite cheap to me (£89/$125) its about 1.5 inches across.
And is a deadpool discosoma a jawbreaker?
Thanks in advance I'm new to the mushroom types!

@MattEagle it looks like the deadpool it's hard telling anymore there are so many different kinds. But here's a little funfact mushrooms belong to the order hexacoralia(4,300 species of aquatic organisms formed of polyps, generally with 6-fold symmetry) they are from the phylum cnidaria(All Cnidaria are aquatic, mostly marine, organisms. They all have tentacles with stinging cells called nematocysts that they use to capture food. Cnidarians only have two body layers, the ectoderm and endoderm, separated by a jelly-like layer called the mesoglea. Most Cnidarians have radial symmetry.mushrooms create a sub order called coralomorphia, or coralimorphs which is divided into four families Actinodiscus, Discosoma, Rhodactis, and Ricordea which are then further categorized into classes based on who found them, where they were found, how deep they were, coloration, papules, radius and mouth shape, also if it Is a predatory or non predatory species... believe mushrooms and chalices are the most diverse order of corals in the ocean as they are such a broad categorization of coral lumped together and so many more are pulled and dredged from the ocean each day when we thought we've discovered them all we just keep finding more and more... but I do not believe the dead pool is in the jb family just another high end disco that looks similar, I may be wrong tho

Technically Jawbreakers and Electus are same thing. Only difference in classification is color. Based on color id say that your correct its an electus.

Nice one cheers.
No problem there are distinct differences in species or sub species to one another. From what I see on my own garden. Jawbreakers will typically have the orange or pumpkin solid colored cap. Electus can come in many different colors ranging from yellow to green, purple, red or pretty much all the colors im sure. Distinct differences in texture as well. Electus will usually have a smooth more metallic look as Jawbreakers will have a rougher, bubbly surface texture.

Hi Do you have anymore? Looking for some high end shrooms. can you tell me how long does it take for a candy crush to color up, or are the babies colored? If you have a big colored up up one can you cut it? Trying to recap all the ones I lost! I have had crazy bad luck with them disappearing doing water changes! i have lost a small fortune but now I know to cage them and do roll call! LOL
